BULLHEAD CITY - Authorities have decided to prosecute a teenager who allegedly threatened the school from which she had been suspended in Bullhead City.

A police investigation began on Sept. 12 when it was reported that a 14-year old girl threatened Mohave High School with a Snapchat post.

Police patrols were stepped up near the school as a safety precaution even though a visit with the suspect revealed that she did not possess or have access to weapons. Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said a forensic examination of the teen’s cell phone verified the Snapchat threat.
